The URBAN DH 1800 DISTRICT event has left its mark on the summer of 2024, showcasing the M1's capabilities. This inaugural race against the clock attracted an impressive turnout, with internationally renowned riders from 12 countries competing on a technical course set in an urban area. The challenging downhill profile and obstacles provided a unique spectacle for the crowd.
The picturesque resort of Les 2 Alpes provided the perfect setting for this groundbreaking event. A big shoutout to Adrien LORON, whose vision and design made this course a true test of skill and endurance.
Set in the heart of the 1800 village, the course spanned urban terrain from 1800m to 1650m altitude. The weather couldn’t have been better, with clear blue skies and bright sunshine adding to the electric atmosphere. Fans gathered in droves to watch the riders’ breathtaking maneuvers live on a giant screen, and they were not disappointed.
Twelve nationalities were represented, underscoring the international appeal of this event. The riders displayed phenomenal dexterity, agility, and technical prowess, navigating massive wooden modules and steep staircases with precision.
The URBAN DH 1800 DISTRICT was a resounding success, providing a platform for this exciting urban discipline and showcasing the exceptional talents of these riders. A heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved for putting on such an unforgettable show!
