Les Gets World Cup 2019 - The IFR in video

Following last weekend’s World Cup in Vallnord, Andorra, it was off to the French Alps for Les Gets World Cup.  After a 17 year hiatus, it was great to see the event back on the World Cup calendar.

As you know, Aaron injured his shoulders in Vallnord, so it was going to be Jack and Neko holding down the fort. Here’s how things went:

Race results:

  • Qualifying:
    • Jack Moir: 27th
    • Neko Mulally: 76th
  • Finals:
    • Jack Moir: 23th
    • Neko Mulally: DNS (did not qualify)
  • World Cup standings:
    • Aaron Gwin: 14th
    • Jack Moir: 25th
    • Neko Mulally: 44th

“The crowd was crazy today, love a French World Cup! Disappointed with 23rd.  Made a big mistake up top, but not too far off, and feel like I’m riding good again." - Jack Moir.

"Bummed on the results the past two weeks, but I’m not jumping to conclusions.  Just had 2 bad runs during qualifying and missed the mark.  I have more in me and excited for the second half of the season.” - Neko Mulally.

“After Aaron’s injuries last weekend in Vallnord, I think it let the air out of sails for a bit.  But once we sent Aaron home to get assessed and recover, our team refocused on the task at hand, and it was off to Les Gets.  Everyone was looking forward to return of Les Gets on the World Cup, and certainly did not disappoint.  What an amazing turn out of spectators, as well as finish to the race!  I would say the energy rivalled Fort William World Cup.  Everyone now has a couple weekend’s off, then we once again gather in Europe for Val di Sole and Lenzerheide World Cups.” - Todd Schumlick.
